The 1st European Universities Table Tennis Championship took place in Ostrava from June 21 to 24. Czech Republic welcomed 25 university teams (16 male teams and 9 female teams) with 110 participants from 12 European countries.
The European Universities Championship title went to the Russian State University of Physical Education, Sports and Tourism (RUSSIA), which won both the men and women's team competition.
